Trapster® Android App (All new version with My Trips!)
Go to the Android Market directly on your phone, and search for Trapster. Then download and install it. The app is FREE. The My Trips feature allows you to record your trip, and share it with your friends and family, so they can watch your trip in real time from any computer (like a flight tracker), and see the geo-tagged photos and notes that you post along the way!
Here are some images from the application:
Main Screen
The red dot shows your current GPS location. It follows you in real time. The emanating red lines show the Virtual Radar™ alert zone. The alert zone is directional, and dynamically narrows and elongates as your speed increases. Icons animate while the corresponding audio alert is played. Real time traffic and incident alerts can also be enabled. The green, yellow, and red lines in the image below indicate fast, medium, and slow traffic conditions.
Reporting Traps You See
This screen appears when you press "Report Enforcement Point" on the menu. When you select the appropriate trap type, it is placed at your current GPS position. If the correct position of the trap is different than your current GPS position, you can further pinpoint the correct location by dragging the map.
Map Display
This screen appears when you press "Menu", and then select "Display". This screen controls what items are shown on the map. At times you may wish to temporarily disable display of some items to reduce crowding. Note: The Local Search, and Routes/Directions features are coming soon, and will work the same way they do on the current Trapster iPhone app.
We highly recommend that you get a hands-free kit with car charger and dash or windshield mount like the one pictured below. We like the solid ones better than the ones with a flexible arm. This one shows a Nuvi mounted, but it should hold any type of phone or small GPS unit well. Click the image to check pricing from Amazon, or get one at your mobile phone retail store.

Trapster® is still in a beta testing phase. This means you may experience bugs or deficiencies in the software from time to time. Issues? Please feel free to contact us.
